The Congress leader⁢ Sandeep Dikshit criticized the Aam ⁣Aadmi Party ⁣(AAP) for their comments on the‍ health of imprisoned Delhi chief minister Arvind ‌Kejriwal. Dikshit advised AAP to refrain from politicizing Kejriwal’s health and stated that dishonesty is a common trait within the⁢ party. He specifically called out leaders ⁤like Atishi, emphasizing the need for them to build credibility.

Dikshit expressed his disappointment, saying, “I would hope that at this juncture, these individuals refrain from turning a ‍health issue into a political pawn. The AAP has a track record⁢ of fabricating information and making baseless claims. Whether it’s allegations of corruption or governance strategies for Delhi, they have a history of deceit dating back to 2012-13.”

Bringing up a past protest involving Kejriwal, Dikshit mentioned that ‌despite being⁢ diabetic, the Delhi CM had abstained ⁤from eating for 8-9 days. He cast doubt on AAP’s⁢ recent assertions about Kejriwal’s health, highlighting inconsistencies and questioning their veracity.

AAP leaders have voiced concerns about Kejriwal’s health in light of his diabetic condition. Senior AAP figure Sanjay Singh alleged that Kejriwal had lost ⁤8.5 ‌kg during his time in ‍prison and suggested it could ⁣be indicative of ‍a‍ serious medical ‍issue. Singh also claimed that Kejriwal’s⁣ blood sugar levels ⁢had ⁤dangerously dropped below 50 mg/dl on multiple occasions.

Contradicting AAP’s claims, Tihar jail authorities rebutted on Monday, stating that Kejriwal ⁢had ‌actually lost only 2 kg while in custody. They reassured⁤ that an AIIMS medical board was regularly monitoring Kejriwal’s health status and had relayed updates to the Delhi government’s Home Department.

the debate surrounding Kejriwal’s health has sparked controversy between political factions, with ⁤the AAP alleging significant weight loss and health concerns,‌ countered by assertions from Tihar jail authorities suggesting a less dramatic⁣ situation.
