Chennai Power Outages on July‌ 19: Scheduled Areas and Timings

Several areas⁣ in Chennai, including Adyar,​ Tondiarpet, ⁤and Nerkundram, will undergo planned power interruptions on July 19. ⁤The scheduled power cuts are set ‍to take‍ place from 9 am to 2 pm. Nonetheless, if maintenance works are⁣ finished as scheduled, electricity supply will be restored ⁤before 2:00 pm.

Adyar: The regions affected in Adyar include Besant Nagar, Malaviya Avenue, Sasthiri Nagar, Gangai Amman Koil Street, LIC Colony,​ R.K.Nagar ⁤main road, Maruntheeswar ⁣nagar, Palavakkam, and​ several other ⁣streets⁢ and colonies.
Tondiarpet: Melur, Minjur Town, Siruvakkam,‌ Ariyanvoyal, Vallur, Pallipuram, among others.
Nerkundram: This area includes Ramaniyam Apartments, LS⁣ Hospital, Thiruvallur street, Karuneegar street, ⁢AVK street, and more.

Chennai Weather Forecast
Chennai is expected to experience light ​to moderate rainfall throughout the upcoming week. On July 19, 20, ⁤and 21, the ⁢city will have cloudy skies with light rain. The temperature is‍ likely to range between 25 to 35 degrees celsius. ⁤However, on July ‌22, ⁣there won’t ⁤be any‍ rainfall, but cloudy weather is expected with temperatures reaching around 36 degrees celsius. On July ‌23, rain is anticipated to​ return with temperatures remaining ⁣consistent.

Current Weather Situation in Kerala and Karnataka
In Kerala and Karnataka, heavy rainfall has⁤ caused disruption in normal life. The districts of Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod in Kerala have faced‍ flooding, tree uprooting, property damage,‌ and minor landslides ​due to intense rainfall. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a ‍red alert for districts in Karnataka like Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada, indicating the possibility of extreme rainfall exceeding 20 centimeters in 24 hours. The authorities in Dakshina Kannada have decided to close National Highway 275 between Sampaje⁤ and Madikeri from July ⁣18 to July 22, during the night, as a‍ precaution against⁤ landslides and rock falls.
