In his statement to the ​police, Kalpesh mentioned that they come from Amreli and that his brother was unmarried.

A handwritten suicide note in Gujarati was found by the police, where the‌ deceased ‌referenced his financial woes stemming from a lack of diamond cutting and polishing work. Shockingly, this ​incident marks the 63rd suicide case in Surat in the past 15 months, as stated ⁣by the Diamond Workers ⁤Union Gujarat. President of the Diamond Workers Union Gujarat, Bhavesh Tank revealed that 62 diamond polishers had succumbed to suicide in⁤ the last 15 months.
