The study rated Singapore at ⁤0 out of 100 in terms of danger level, making ⁣it the safest ⁤city for tourists among the 60 international cities ⁣compared.

Highest Safety Rating from State ‍Department

The ‍study⁤ emphasized⁢ that Singapore has received the highest travel safety ​rating ​from ‌the U.S. State⁣ Department. It⁢ also ​pointed⁢ out that Singapore‍ has the lowest risk of natural disasters, ⁢as ⁤well as the second lowest levels of health security, infrastructure‍ security, and digital​ security.

When it comes ‍to digital security, ‌the study highlighted that ⁢Singapore offers its citizens the‍ ability to use the internet ‌without ⁣fear of privacy violations, identity ⁢theft, ⁣or⁤ online ⁣attacks.

Following Singapore, Tokyo, Japan secured the second spot, and Toronto, ‌Canada came ⁤in third‌ in terms of safety for tourists.

Top “Riskiest” Cities

On‍ the other end ⁢of the spectrum, the‍ study identified the top three “riskiest” cities for tourists worldwide as Caracas, ⁢Venezuela, Karachi, Pakistan, and​ Yangon, Myanmar. In ‌Southeast Asia, ⁣cities like Yangon, ‌Myanmar (ranked 3rd globally),⁤ Manila, Philippines⁤ (ranked 5th globally), and Jakarta,⁤ Indonesia (ranked 11th globally) ​were highlighted as the‌ most dangerous for⁣ visitors.

Other ⁤cities in the region with higher risk levels⁤ include Ho ‌Chi Minh City, Vietnam (ranked 20th globally), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (ranked 29th⁢ globally),⁤ and Bangkok, Thailand (ranked⁣ 30th globally). ‍It is‌ important to note⁣ that the study only​ provided risk rankings ⁤for 50 cities out of the 60 compared.
