He pointed out that the trade volume between Iran and China surpasses that of Iran with all European nations combined. Additionally,⁣ he noted that China has‌ consistently been Iran’s primary trade⁣ partner, with Iran being a crucial export destination for Chinese goods.

International ⁢Mechanisms for Strengthening Relations

Zong Peiwu underscored the significance of international platforms like the Shanghai Cooperation Organization ​and BRICS in deepening the ties between Tehran and Beijing.

Reviving the Iran Nuclear Agreement

Addressing the Iran nuclear‌ agreement (JCPOA), the Chinese ambassador emphasized its⁣ critical role in⁢ preventing ​global proliferation. He⁣ called on JCPOA member countries ‌responsible for its ‌deterioration to rectify their actions and facilitate the revival of the agreement.

Support for Palestinian Statehood

Furthermore, Zong Peiwu voiced​ support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with al-Quds ‍as its capital, based on the 1967 borders and United Nations Security Council resolutions.
