The India ‍Meteorological Department (IMD) in Mumbai has issued ⁣an orange alert for heavy rainfall in the city‍ today. The forecast includes the ⁤possibility of very heavy rainfall⁣ at isolated ​places, affecting not only Mumbai but ⁢also Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, and Nashik districts in‍ Maharashtra. Additionally, a red alert has been ​issued by the Regional Meteorological‌ Centre in Mumbai ‌for Palghar, Pune, and Satara⁤ districts.

According to IMD’s predictions, ⁢Palghar⁢ can expect heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely intense downpour in some areas. In contrast, Pune ‍and Satara are likely to experience moderate rain⁣ in plain areas alongside extremely heavy⁢ rainfall at isolated locations within ghat regions.
