SEPANG – August 28, 2024 — AirAsia is making significant strides in the second half of the year by introducing two new routes connecting Penang to Shenzhen and Kota Kinabalu to Shantou in China. This expansion brings the total number of routes operated by AirAsia to/from China to 33, reinforcing its position as the leading foreign low-cost carrier in this region. Commencing on October 28, 2024, AirAsia Malaysia (flight code AK) will operate four weekly flights from Penang to Shenzhen and three weekly flights from Kota Kinabalu to Shantou starting November 16, 2024.

To celebrate these new routes, AirAsia is offering promotional fares for travelers flying between Penang and Shenzhen starting at RM329 all-in one way and fares from Kota Kinabalu to Shantou starting at RM299 all-in one way.
