The Kenya International‍ Industrial Expo, now in its 7th​ edition, has opened in Nairobi with a ‌strong international presence. This ​year’s expo features 192 exhibitors from around the world, with 70% of them hailing from China.​ The event has attracted over 2,100 merchants and is focused on driving growth in Kenya’s⁣ manufacturing sector under the theme “Investing in Tomorrow-Trading for Prosperity.”

Erick Rutto, the president of the Kenya‍ National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighted the importance of⁣ the expo as a ⁤platform for technology ‌transfer ​and boosting inter-trade between Kenya and China. He emphasized the opportunities for local⁢ investors ‌to form partnerships and joint ventures with Chinese‌ counterparts.
