Maxhosa‌ Africa: ⁤A 13-Year-Old Label on the Rise

Maxhosa Africa,‍ a South ‍African​ fashion label, is experiencing rapid‌ growth and evolution. The creative ⁤director, Laduma Ngxokolo, acknowledges that this‌ process ‍comes with its​ own set of challenges. For instance, ⁣the entire spring collection⁣ was held up ⁢in customs‍ at Frankfurt⁢ airport until the morning‍ of the brand’s second presentation ‍in Paris.

However, despite⁢ these hurdles, there were ‌numerous​ reasons for‌ celebration. The spring collection showcased ​at ‌the American Church in Paris was a hit. It featured signature knitwear that ⁣draws inspiration from Xhosa heritage and various cultures across Africa. The collection included office-ready dresses, vibrant polo shirts and shorts for ‍both women and men, as well as versatile tunic tops ideal for layering⁣ or wearing as stylish minidresses when paired with​ Maxhosa tights.
