Exploring the Luthier’s Workshop in Kowloon, Hong Kong
In 2016, I relocated to a workshop located in the Diamond Hill district of East Kowloon, Hong Kong. This move was a significant improvement from my previous cramped market stall in the same area, where I had to manage with less than four square metres of space. Working in such limited quarters meant that I couldn’t work on my instruments at night and also faced the challenge of passersby observing me as I worked. Consequently, I sought out a larger and more suitable space within an industrial block, providing me with 10 sq m of workspace perfectly tailored to my needs.

Moreover, the bright lighting at the market stall was not conducive to my craft; however, my current workspace allows me to easily regulate light levels using lamps.
