Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Attends Global Summit in Dubai

On Wednesday, ⁤Bangladesh’s chief adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, departed from Dhaka bound for Dubai to participate in ‌the 2025 World Governments Summit hosted in the United Arab Emirates.

An Emirates Airlines flight took off from Hazrat‌ shahjalal International Airport at approximately 7:45 PM carrying Prof. Yunus⁤ and his accompanying delegation, as reported by his‍ Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam azad Majumder.

Engagements at the ‍Summit

During this notable event, the Chief Adviser is anticipated ⁢to articulate Bangladesh’s views on pressing‍ global matters and international ‍affairs. This was conveyed⁤ by Mohammad Rafiqul⁣ Alam, spokesperson for ⁣the foreign ministry, during a recent press conference held on February 9.

Along with⁤ participating in session discussions, Professor⁢ Yunus intends to engage in bilateral talks with various leaders attending⁤ the summit. This presents an ⁢excellent avenue for strengthening diplomatic ties and collaborative approaches on global challenges.

An Invitation from UAE Leadership

The invitation extended to Prof. ‌Yunus was formally issued by Mohammed bin Rashid‍ Al Maktoum—the Vice President ‌and Prime Minister of the UAE and also Ruler of Dubai—on January 13,2025.

A Platform for Global Collaboration

The World Governments Summit has been ‍a cornerstone of international dialog since‍ its inception in 2013 under Al Maktoum’s stewardship; it provides⁣ a vital forum for governments worldwide‍ to share innovative practices and‌ learn from one another’s experiences.

Following his attendance at this pivotal summit, Professor Yunus is slated‍ to return to Bangladesh on February ⁣14.
