City of Columbia Enhances Sisterly Relations with Ghana

City of Columbia officials recently engaged in discussions with a ⁢delegation from the Republic of Ghana to strengthen the existing sisterly‌ relations between Ghana and South Carolina. The delegation’s visit aimed to explore potential areas of collaboration in trade, investments, culture, tourism, and education⁢ during their three-day ⁤stay in Columbia.

Welcoming ⁤the Ghanaian delegation at City Hall, Mayor Daniel Rickenmann⁣ expressed his gratitude⁢ for the visit, emphasizing the importance of fortifying ties between the two regions, ‍especially through the sister city partnership⁢ with Accra. He highlighted‍ the city’s ‌commitment to seeking opportunities for mutual growth and collaboration that benefit both Columbia ⁢and Ghana.

The delegation from Ghana, led by Her Excellency Alima Mahama ‍(Hajia), the ambassador of the Republic ⁤of Ghana to⁣ the United States, included Mrs. Ninette Danquah Ivo,⁣ Minister of‍ Economic and Diaspora Affairs, and ⁣Mr. Job Tiimob, Trade Officer at the Embassy of Ghana.
