First-Hand ⁣Experience: Traveling on Vietnam’s Expressways

As a frequent traveler in Vietnam, I have had ⁤the opportunity to experience the convenience ⁤and efficiency of the country’s expressway network. From smooth road surfaces to clear signage and designated rest areas, expressways make traveling between cities a breeze. I am excited about the upcoming Dong‍ Nai‌ expressway project‌ and the positive impact it will have on transportation in the region.

With the Dong Nai expressway set to link Ho Chi Minh City and ‌Lam Dong, residents and visitors can look forward to a faster and more convenient travel experience. This state-of-the-art infrastructure ⁣project is a‍ testament‌ to Vietnam’s commitment ⁢to ‍improving transportation and connectivity for all.

The development of the Dau Giay – Tan‍ Phu Expressway in Dong Nai Province, bordering Ho Chi Minh City, ‍is progressing as authorities convene to discuss the first phase of the project. Spanning 60.2 kilometers and estimated at VND9 trillion ($356 million), ⁣this expressway ‌will play a significant role in regional ‍infrastructure.

Under ‌a ⁢public-private partnership ‍(PPP) model, the Ministry of Transport has approved the ‍project’s first phase. By December of this year, an investor will be selected through a tender process to spearhead its execution.

The planned route will traverse four districts within⁤ Dong Nai: Thong Nhat, Xuan Loc, Dinh Quan, and Tan Phu. Starting at the endpoint of the Ho ⁣Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway in ‌Thong Nhat District and concluding at an intersection ⁢with National Highway 20, it will link up with the Tan Phu⁣ – Bao Loc Expressway in Tan⁣ Phu District.

With 378 hectares of land allocated for clearance purposes, various departments and agencies have been tasked with supporting site clearance operations for seamless progress. Measures are also⁤ being implemented to mitigate illegal construction activities along the proposed ⁣route.

In response to potential local impacts caused by construction activities on households within affected districts, timely data submissions⁤ have been requested by Vice-chairwoman Nguyen Thi⁢ Hoang. This information will inform⁤ decisions related⁤ to site clearance procedures set⁤ for approval by provincial authorities.

Scheduled for completion in 2026 and operational by 2027, the Dau Giay – Tan Phu ⁣Expressway aims to alleviate congestion on National Highway 20 while enhancing‍ overall traffic safety standards. With investments ⁣split between private funding totaling VND7.7 trillion ($305.9 million) and state allocations⁤ amounting ‌to‌ VND1.3 trillion ($50.1 million), this ‌crucial ‌transportation link is poised to meet local travel demands effectively.
